At dawn on 2 May Beijing time, the annual Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Assembly was reconvened, and the stockmaster was again asked the question of Bitcoin.
众所周知，巴菲特与其团队长期以来一直不看好比特币。此前面对市场对比特币的追捧，巴菲特认为热炒比特币是在投机，而非投资。但他可能想不到，比特币会在今年持续疯涨，价格一举站上5万美元、市值竟然来到了伯克希尔之上。
As we all know, Buffett and his team have long failed to take advantage of Bitcoin. In the face of the market’s popularity, Buffett thought that it was speculation, not investment.
有投资者在股东大会对股神团队提问：“现在加密货币已经超过了2万亿美元的估值，你们仍然觉得这个是一个无价值的黄金吗？”
Investors at the shareholders' meeting asked the team: “Do you still think that the encoded currency is a worthless gold, now that the value of the $2 trillion is over?”
“我就知道会问到关于比特币的问题，我想，为什么这些政治家可以去时时刻刻躲避回答这种问题呢？我是不是也行？”对此，沃伦·巴菲特回答：“所以我今天就要这样，我今天就要去躲避这个问题，我不想回答。我们有数千数万有比特币的人在看今天的直播，然后只有台上两位没有比特币（指巴菲特和芒格）。”
“I knew I would ask questions about Bitcoin, and I thought, why can these politicians go and avoid answering such questions at all times? Am I okay?” Warren Buffett replied, “So I'm going to do this today, and I'm going to avoid it today, and I don't want to answer it. We have tens of thousands of bitcoins watching today's live broadcasts, and then only two of us on the stage have no bitcoin.”
股神任性地表示：“我不想让大家不开心，所以我不想在这儿来回答了。”
He said, “I don't want to upset people, so I don't want to answer here.”
现年97岁的查理·芒格显然不想掩饰其对比特币的厌恶：“我憎恨比特币的‘成功’，我不喜欢这种虚拟的货币来绑架现有的货币系统，把数十亿的钱投到这个领域。就好像利用一个无用的凭空生出来的金融产品去敛财，我是不满意这一点的。”
Now 97-year-old Charlie Munger obviously doesn't want to cover up his bitco's aversion: “I hate the "success" of Bitcoin, and I don't like this virtual currency to kidnap the existing monetary system and put billions of dollars into this field. It's like using a useless financial product to raise money, and I'm not happy with that.”
芒格甚至使用了“disgusting（令人作呕的）”这个词，他更加严厉地表示：“我觉得这样的一个发展，跟我们的文明发展是相悖的。”
Manger even used the word “disguising”, and he said even more harshly: “I think such a development is contrary to our civilizational development”.
两位老法师最后表示，还是让其他人来批评比特币吧。
In the end, the two pharaohs said, let the others criticize Bitcoin.
那怎么赚钱？巴菲特还是几十年如一日地推荐他的最爱——指数基金。“从长远来看，大多数投资者都能从简单地购买标准普尔500指数基金中受益，而不是挑选个别股票，即便是伯克希尔也包括在内。”
How do you make money? Buffett has been his favorite index fund for decades. “In the long run, most investors can benefit from simply purchasing the Standard & Poor's 500 index fund, rather than choosing individual shares, even Birkhshire.”
“世界可能会发生剧烈的变化，所以投资指数基金将是一个好的选择。”巴菲特说。
“The world could change dramatically, so investment index funds would be a good option.” Buffett said.
