根据近日福建泉州市公安局通报的情况，这起传销案形成高达309层的传销网络，涉案总金额50亿元。

据了解，沃客理财是犯罪嫌疑人王良妙于2015年3月设立的网络理财平台，宣称经营“DEMWK新加坡外贸进出口公司”发行的虚拟货币CPM。参与投资者需有老会员推荐，缴费购买激活币成为会员，缴纳700元就可以成为一星会员，最高的六星会员需缴纳3.5万元。成为会员后，根据缴纳金额获得100至5000不等的K币。

“庞氏骗局”频现，投资者为何“飞蛾扑火”？
泉州市公安局经侦支队负责人说，此类“空手套白狼”“拆东墙补西墙”的“庞氏骗局”之所以屡屡得手，除了犯罪团伙天花乱坠地宣传忽悠，更多是利用了投资者的心理。

但实际上，不少投资者赚到第一笔收益后，不断增加投入，越陷越深，很多投资者还没等拿到收益，平台已经崩盘。从公安机关调查情况看，沃客理财平台设立之初就投资的人确实赚到了一些钱，但总的来看，没有赚到钱、收不回成本的占大多数。记者调查发现，从事非法传销过程中，王良妙等人注册了多家公司，如沃客生活信息科技有限公司、沃客生活汽车贸易有限公司、沃客生活电子商务有限公司等，通过合法外衣掩盖其非法传销本质，让投资者防不胜防。厦门勤贤律师事务所律师曾凌说，互联网传销影响范围广、参与人数多，社会危害大，加大打击的同时，要加大监管力度，工商、公安等部门在发现传销组织苗头时就应该及早介入，迅速查处，及时消除风险隐患，防范事态扩大蔓延；同时要加强对投资者的风险教育。
