The four basic features of magnets include polarization, indivisibility, interaction and magnetism. These are described below:
1、两极性。磁铁具有南北两个磁极,磁性北极N,磁性南极S,斩断后仍是两极N级、S极。

2、不可分割性。单个磁极不能存在,必须相对存在。

4、磁化性。磁体周围存在着一种物质,能使磁针偏转,这种物质在物理学上被称作磁场。磁场的分布通常用磁感线来表示。如果把一个磁体悬挂起来,就会发现它的南极指向地理南磁极左右,北极指向北磁极左右。
