小时候，我们总被童话里的睡美人所吸引，然而，当现实版“睡美人”出现时，我们不得不感慨命运的不公。据英国《镜报》11月22日报道，36岁的海伦·沃特森(Helon Waterson)由于患克莱恩—莱文综合征，每天睡眠时间长达21小时，而其余3小时都要依靠一种强效药才能维持清醒，而这种药则会让人变得虚弱。

As a child, we were always attracted to sleeping beauty in fairy tales, yet when the real version of Sleeping Beauty appeared, we had to lament the injustice of our fate. According to the British Mirror, on November 22, Helen and Middot, 36 years old; and Helon Waterson, as a result of the Klein-Livin syndrome, sleeps for 21 hours a day, while the rest of the three hours depends on a powerful drug to keep you awake.

克莱恩－莱文综合征又名睡美人综合征。目前，世界上已有1000人患上此病，并无治愈方法。该病患者通常会感到异常疲惫及痛苦、喜睡，严重患者只能卧床睡觉，不能做任何其他的事情。

The Klein-Livin syndrome is also known as the Sleeping Beauty syndrome. At present, 1,000 people in the world are suffering from this disease, and there is no cure.

据悉，海伦自知她很小的时候就跟常人不一样。她的整个童年都是在疲惫中度过的，而旁人则认为她又懒又笨。据海伦回忆，有一次她和她的家人到餐馆进餐，她想点餐，可是却累得说不好话。她因此被家人笑话多年。青少年时，当她的同学在暑假外出游玩之时，海伦却只能窝在家里睡觉。她除了进食、喝水、如厕的时候是醒着的，其余时间一直处于睡眠状态。

Helen knew that when she was very young, she was different from the usual. She spent her entire childhood tired, while others thought she was lazy and stupid. Helen recalled that she and her family had been having dinner at the restaurant once, and she wanted to order dinner, but she was tired. She was therefore laughed at by her family for years. When she was a teenager, when her classmates were out for summer vacations, Helen had to sleep at home. She was awake for the rest of her life, except for eating, drinking water and drinking water, as in the toilet.

It was only in February 2009 that she was woken up by her family after three and a half weeks of sleep. In the next 18 months, Helen did a variety of tests, such as sleeping disorders and infectious diseases. She was misdiagnosed as depression and was given antidepressants. In 2010, as tests showed, Helen was able to enter deep sleep within five minutes, and usually it took two hours before she was finally diagnosed as a Klein-Livin syndrome.

目前，海伦的病症已极其严重，只能靠药物治疗保持每天三个小时的清醒状态。然而，药物却有很大的副作用，导致她平衡感变差，肌肉极度疼痛，面部扭曲并长了黑斑。在21个小时的睡眠之后，海伦只能依靠她的两只宠物拉布拉多·苏缇(Labrador Sooty)和巴尼(Barney)的帮助，挣扎着起来。并且，受该病影响，海伦已失去长期记忆。她对童年时光已完全没有了记忆。因此，海伦不得不辞去个人信贷客户经理的工作。

Helen's condition is already very serious, and he can only remain awake for three hours a day with medication. However, the medication has a great side effect, causing her to lose balance, severe muscle pain, facial distortions, and black spots. After 21 hours of sleep, Helen can only rely on her two pets, Labrador Middot; with the help of Labrador Sooty and Barney, she struggles; and, as a result of the disease, Helen has lost her long-term memory. She has no memory of childhood.

海伦表示，她已接受了独自一个人生活的残酷现实，并且对未来已不抱任何期望。她还表示，现实生活与童话是不一样的，她的生活中不会出现白马王子将她吻醒。

Helen stated that she had accepted the cruel reality of living alone and had no expectation of the future. She also said that real life was different from fairy tales, and that there would be no white horse in her life who would wake her up.
